Holi in Year 2012 is on Friday 9th March 2012 .Holi festival in general is usually being celebrated in in India and by NRI’s living in USA UK NZ Australia Dubai UAE and worldwide with full gaiety in the month of March every year.

Most of the Indian celebrate this festival in Style and especially buy new cloths like White Kurta Paijama or white Pant and Shirt to wear and play with Holi colors.

Being a national holiday people enjoy this festival in their own style .Some prefer to stay in peace, remain in their houses and enjoy watching others playing Holi. For others it is festival of joy, colours, songs, masti and dhoom. This day all checked feelings are unleashed and no restrictions apply to them in terms of dancing openly to the tunes of Holi Songs .

This Day begins with likeminded people gather at one place .They have all the arrangements made in place and in advance as no food is available being a major festival of India. They are fully equipped with colours, Water guns (pichkari) and eatables like sweets, Gujiiya, namkeens with drinks. Without music this festival is incomplete. So lavish arrangements are made for loud and peppy music .Popular Hindi song sequences pertaining to Holi celebrations are played and people dance to the tune of these songs whole day .They hardly eat regular food and survive mostly on Gujiiya , namkeens ,soft drinks ,wine and ready to eat snacks.

Newly wed Bahbhis or Just married Jija’s (Brother In Law ) are the mostly targeted ones during this festival. Being their first Holi , special plans are made to color them to the fullest and make them drunk literally so that they do not feel shy and come out of their shell to enjoy this festival . The idea is to make this day memorable through out their life .
